The Vineyard Rose Restaurant is the on-site restaurant at South Coast Winery & Resort. When we decide to spend a weekend at South Coast Winery Resort & Spa, we always make a point to eat here. We’ve stayed at this fabulous Temecula resort a number of times over the years, so we’ve had the chance to enjoy dinner, breakfast, and brunch several times. Each time, the food was cooked perfectly, and the service was exceptional.

When it comes to finding the best Sunday brunch in Temecula, it’s hard to beat the one at the Vineyard Rose. The menu offers not only South Coast wines but also their sister property, Carter Estate Wines, and various wines from around the world.

If you would like to know more about what it’s like to stay at this Temecula Hotel, take a look at our South Coast Winery Resort & Spa review. Atmosphere

The dining room is spacious and elegant. Picture a breathtaking, high wood beam ceiling and big bright windows. When visitors imagine classic California wine country, this is the vibe they’re after. The refined but casual feel of this space is just one reason the Vineyard Rose is considered one of the best restaurants in Temecula.

When it comes to seating, you will have lots of options. Snag a cozy booth, or choose a comfortable 4-person table. If the weather is nice, which it often is when you visit Temecula, sit on the patio. It’s completely shaded for guests’ comfort.

It’s also worth mentioning that during dinner service, the tables are covered in tablecloths for a touch of elegance.

Menu

The brunch menu at South Coast Winery is the perfect combination of sweet and savory breakfast and lunch items.

We dug into a juicy shrimp cocktail, tender crab claws, crispy bacon, sausages, and lots of fresh fruit. For our entrees, the old-fashioned BBQ chicken with classic cornbread hit the spot, the filet was perfectly cooked, and the brunch Southwest scramble was loaded with vegetables.

During dinner service, it was hard to resist the perfectly cooked filet or the chicken teriyaki. Other tantalizing dishes include Iberico pork, octopus ceviche, Scottish salmon, and a tomahawk ribeye.

The Brunch Cocktail & Wine Offerings

One of the best features of dining at the Vineyard Rose Restaurant is that the restaurant offers nearly all of the winery’s vast portfolio of wines for brunch. You sometimes see just a handful of options on brunch menus, but we counted 28 different selections! The brunch wine list includes five types of sparkling wines, rich white wines like the South Coast Chardonnay and Viognier, sweet white wines like their Riesling, and red wines that range from Cabernet Sauvignon to Tempranillo and Grenache.

And, what brunch would be complete without a glass – or a bottle (!) of rosé wine? Diners have the choice of a rosé of Tempranillo, Grenache, or Merlot. We couldn’t have been happier with how the team constructed this wine list.

If you’re in the mood for a brunch cocktail, you’re in luck. You can raise a glass to the weekend with Pear Mimosas, White Peach Bellinis, raspberry mimosas, or a Bloody Mary.

The Service

Service can make or break a dining experience, and at The Vineyard Rose Restaurant, it undoubtedly played a pivotal role in making our visit extraordinary. The staff’s attention to detail, knowledge, and dedication to creating a memorable evening set this restaurant apart. They didn’t just serve food and wine; they crafted an atmosphere of hospitality that made us feel like valued guests. The exceptional service was the icing on the cake of an already delightful culinary journey, and it’s a significant reason why we look forward to returning to The Vineyard Rose in the future.
