About the Clinkscale, Jerome

The Clinkscale is a boutique hotel and a restaurant in Jerome, Arizona owned and operated by The Haunted Group. If you’re not familiar with The Haunted Group, this local hospitality group is run by Eric and Michelle Jurisin, who also own Jerome’s Haunted Hamburger restaurant and Cottonwood’s Pizzeria Bocce and Tavern Hotel.

One of the most appealing features of this restaurant is its central location in town. Whether you stay at the hotel or are simply visiting the restaurant, this locale provides a great place to start or end your day in Jerome.

A fun fact about the Clinkscale: in the late 1800s, the building where the Clinkscale is located was a mercantile, and it was one of the first places in the world to sell Levi’s jeans!

The Ambiance

Revitalizing a historic building takes a special touch and Eric and Michelle knocked this one out of the park. They have maintained the aura of history that Jerome is known for, and at the same time provided a fun, modern feeling to the dining room.

Some special features include: exposed brick, mega-sized historic photos adorning the walls, and floor-to-ceiling windows for tons of natural light. Guests can dine at the bar (the Spanish tiles are such a cool addition), at free-standing tables, or in comfy booths.

The Menu

The menu at The Clinkscale will meet the needs of a lot of diners traveling to Jerome, and that’s one reason we fell in love with this quaint Jerome restaurant. If you’re looking for breakfast in Jerome, you can find it at The Clinkscale. If you’re looking for bars in Jerome, this restaurant will meet your needs too.

With a menu filled with well executed classics like Clinkscale Club, Roasted Turkey French Dip, and Fish Tacos for lunch, and dinner items like Ginger-Miso Glazed Salmon, Bone-In Ribeye, and Seared Scallops, you can’t go wrong.

Our Experience

Before we get into the food at The Clinkscale, we want to give a shout out to the manager, Mike, and our server, Shae, who set the tone for our experience. They were great!

We dined at Clinkscale a few times on our wine tasting trip to Jerome, and enjoyed both breakfast and lunch there. Technically, the restaurant does not say they serve breakfast, but brunch starts at 8:30 am, so, it’s basically breakfast.

Here are a few of the dishes we tried:

  • Brioche French Toast with fresh berries, sweetened ricotta, and maple syrup.

  • Crispy Bacon

  • Hot Chicken & Biscuits with crispy chicken breast, buttermilk biscuits, sausage gravy sauce, Buffalo hot sauce.

  • Double Bacon Cheeseburger with American cheese, chili glaze bacon.

  • Espresso Martini

  • Roasted Tomato Poblano Soup

  • Chopped Salad made with arugula, spinach, pepitas, couscous, corn, chives, currants, asiago, tomato.

Everything we tried was fantastic, and our experience could not have been better. The cheeseburger was outrageously good, and is a must-order item.

Tips

  • The Clinkscale is open daily for brunch, lunch and dinner. Guests can dine between 8:30 am and 8:30 pm.

  • Get the cheeseburger. This was easily the best cheeseburger we’ve ever tried! You will not be disappointed.

  • Thinking of doing corkage in Arizona after a day of wine tasting in Jerome? Restaurants like The Clinkscale that have a liquor license do not allow corkage. It’s always best to call ahead before you bring a bottle of wine to a restaurant in AZ.

Closing Thoughts

Jerome’s Clinkscale restaurant is a winner! If you want great food, great cocktails, and top-notch service, this is the spot. We can’t say enough good things about our experience here, and can easily say that The Clinkscale is one of the best restaurants in Jerome.
