A restaurant is not required to offer corkage! It's a privilege.

Corkage Etiquette

  • Read "No bottle limit" as "No bottle limit within reason!"
  • Bring a decently priced bottle
  • Let your server know ASAP that you have bottle(s) for corkage
  • Be a mensch. You should tip accordingly
  • Bring a bottle that's on the menu
  • Bring a cheap bottle from a convenience store
  • Open the bottle yourself
