We won’t fault you if you haven’t heard of Sky Rock Sedona, a charming boutique hotel with resort amenities in the heart of red rock country. This hotel flew under the radar for a lot of travels until it underwent a massive renovation in the spring of 2024.

The Location & Atmosphere

Sky Rock Sedona is located in West Sedona, which is roughly a mile from the restaurant and shopping scene in downtown Sedona.

The hotel was recently renovated and reopened in March 2024, and the team behind the project did a spectacular job. From the moment we entered the lobby, we were captivated by the hotel’s unique and charming decor, down to the color palette that perfectly aligned with its theme. Even the adobe-like exterior of the hotel blends in seamlessly with the surrounding red rocks.

Amenities

This is a food, wine, and travel site, so we need to give a shout-out to the incredible menu at the on-site restaurant, Bar WooWoo. Having a great restaurant at your hotel can make such a difference in your experience.

This Sedona restaurant serves an excellent breakfast from 6:30AM to 10:30AM, and then transitions to a light dinner menu from 3PM to 10PM. Guests can dine indoors or outdoors on the patio and take in the views as they start their day, or end it.

In addition to Bar WooWoo, this Sedona hotel has a heated outdoor pool, hot tub, fitness center, and a shuttle service. The rooms themselves have amenities like yoga mats, Keurig Coffee Makers, and great views from the patios.

Pro Tip: Have a cocktail at sunset in the hotel bar. Both the patio and the inside area have the most amazing, expansive views of picturesque Sedona.

Our Review of Sky Rock Sedona

Earlier we mentioned how lovely the entrance to Sky Rock hotel is, well, when we stepped into our room, this trend continued. It was beautifully decorated and spotlessly clean. We truly appreciated the attention to detail and the effort put into making our stay as comfortable and enjoyable as possible.

The hotel’s convenient location made it easy for us to explore the surrounding area and enjoy the various attractions. The staff was friendly and helpful, ensuring we felt well taken care of throughout our stay.

When it comes to the cons of staying at Sky Rock, it was tricky to come up with one because everything was so great. The only thing we want to mention is that the rooms are just a tad small. Other than that, we have no complaints!
