California may have the biggest wine festivals, but it certainly isn’t the only state to host great multi-day wine tasting events. From Charleston, South Carolina to New York City, and McMinnville, these wine festivals have everything a wine lover needs to enjoy a fun-filled wine weekend.

South Beach Wine & Food Festival, Feb 23-26

As if you need another reason to visit sunny South Beach when February’s chilly temperatures are still setting in. The South Beach Wine & Food Festival is here to save you from the winter doldrums. 

The Food Network sponsors this three-day culinary festival, so the list of talented chefs and wine professionals is known to be one of the best in the country. Attending this event gives you access to Grand Tastings, intimate dinners, brunches and lunches, and master cooking classes. Reps from Robert Mondavi, Chateau d’Esclans, and Domaines Barons de Rothschild will all be in attendance.

Charleston Wine + Food, March 1-5

It’s no secret that Charleston, South Carolina, is one of the United States’ most popular food destinations. The Charleston Wine + Food Festival highlights the region’s best chefs and wine insiders who love using the region’s food as a springboard for their wine pairings. 

Culinary Villages, cooking demonstrations, wine workshops, celebrity chef lunches, wine pairing lunches, and so much more await attendees. Featured wine luminaries include NY Times wine critic Eric Asimov, Martha Stouman, and Bon Appetit’s Andre Hueston Mack.

Tickets range from $55 – $350.

McMinnville Wine + Food Festival, March 10-12

If you’ve been following along on our wine travel adventures, then you know we love visiting McMinnville, Oregon. This quaint wine community has it all, including a wine festival. The event gives you access to dozens of Willamette Valley’s best wine producers in a laidback Oregon atmosphere that is welcoming, friendly, and fun.

Tickets start at just $20 per day and include entrance to the event and two wine tastings. You can also purchase tickets to the 2023 Winemaker Dinner featuring Utopia Wines for $200 per person.

Taste of Washington, March 11-12

If you love food and wine, then the Taste Washington, the nation’s largest single-region wine and food festival, is a must-attend event. 

The Taste of Washington’s biggest draw is the Grand Tasting, which takes place at Lumen Field (where the Seattle Seahawks play) over two days, and includes 200+ Washington wineries and 50 of Washington’s best restaurants. Tickets for the Grand Tasting start at $109 pp.

Other themed events include wine and food seminars, themed dinners, brunches, and evening parties!

Food & Wine Classic in Aspen, June 16-18

The Food & Wine Classic in Aspen is the culinary event of the year. This event draws everyone who is anyone in the food and wine space, and the setting among the Rocky Mountains is just breathtaking. Picture three days in Aspen, Colorado, cooking demonstrations from the nation’s top chefs and over 150 wine and spirits brands at the multi-day Grand Tasting.

The list of talent at the Aspen Food & Wine Festival speaks for itself, and it’s no wonder this event sells out as soon as tickets become available to the public. Tickets may still be available for purchase on secondary market sites.

International Pinot Noir Celebration, July 28-30

If you love Pinot Noir, then you’ve definitely heard of the International Pinot Noir Celebration, which draws wine aficionados from around the world. 

The International Pinot Noir Celebration offers an opportunity to attend deep dives into one of the world’s most popular grapes, attend epic wine seminars and grand tastings, and tour vineyard sites with some of the world’s premier Pinot experts.

The winemakers actually attend this event and are eager to engage with fellow Pinot lovers, so that alone is a huge benefit to visiting the IPNC. Previous wineries that have attended include Bergstrom, Domaine Serene, Bethel Heights, Champagne Laurent-Perrier, Etude, Rhys, and Reeves.

Hudson Valley Wine Fest, Sept 9-10

The abundance of New York’s bucolic Hudson Valley is on full display at the annual Hudson Valley Wine Festival. This festival draws hundreds of boutique wineries from across New York’s burgeoning wine regions and a slew of artisanal food vendors, craft beer makers, and distilleries.

Group tickets and VIP packages start at $40 per person.

Park City Wine Festival, October 5-7

Think of the Park City Wine Festival as the more relaxed version of the Aspen Food & Wine Classic. Visitors will enjoy 100+ wineries, foodie tents, luncheons, seminars, and outdoor activities in this beautiful mountain ski town, not to mention the expansive list of wineries that make the journey north to Utah. Look for: Caymus, Duckhorn, Daou, J. Lohr Wines, Paul Hobbs, Kendall-Jackson Family Wines, and so many others.

New York City Wine & Food Festival, Oct 13-16

New York is one of the food and wine capitals of the world, and this event draws a remarkable amount of talent. Big names like Daniel Boulud and Alain Ducasse host events next to Food Network stars Amanda Frietag and Duff Goldman. 

On the wine side, the portfolio of Southern Wines and Spirits, which is the event’s major sponsor, will be available to taste.

Tickets for the event are sold a la carte, with each individual session, class, and grand tasting sold separately.
